An ongoing digital-platform project expanding Ventanas for the Children of Venezuela beyond a conventional nonprofit website into a connected operational system for donors, volunteers, internal operations, financial transparency, impact reporting, and public engagement.
The current public website predates Ventana's OS and represents the organization's existing public web presence.

Ventanas for the Children of Venezuela is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization supporting communities in Venezuela and Colombia near the border between both countries. The organization's existing public website provides information about the nonprofit, volunteering, events, and donation opportunities. As the organization and its operational needs grew, a conventional nonprofit website became increasingly limiting.
Ventanas needed a digital system capable of supporting more than public information and donation links. The next-generation platform is intended to connect multiple audiences and operational needs within one digital environment: public visitors, donors, volunteers, operations, financial transparency, impact reporting, and organizational administration.
Approach
Rather than treating each operational need as a separate disconnected tool, Ventana's OS is being designed as a connected platform with dedicated interfaces for different users while maintaining a coherent underlying system. The project combines a public-facing web experience, donor/volunteer functionality, operational interfaces, financial and operational transparency, impact reporting, data-driven dashboards, and additional organizational workflows. All of it is in development — none of these areas are operational yet.

Ventana's OS is currently in active development. The platform is being built iteratively as the organization's public, donor, volunteer, operational, transparency, and impact-reporting requirements are developed and connected.
